Beijing Jiaotong University is a national key university under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education and now is jointly supported by the Ministry of Education, the China Railway Corporation and Beijing Municipal Government. It is one of the first universities included into the “National 211 Project” and the “985 Innovative Platforms for Key Disciplines Project”. BJTU has always targeted at the frontier of scientific and technological development and the demands of major national strategy.

As one of the most international universities in China, BJTU has established cooperative relations with 235 universities and famous multi-national enterprises from 45 countries. As one of global initiatives, it is opening the BJTU International Summer School Program in summer 2019. The program will provide around 20 college-level courses. Courses cover subjects and fields of humanity, history, sociology, mathematics, literature, psychology, economics, finance, accounting, etc.
